The purpose of this 7-session program is to build the capacity of dentists and their teams to identify and manage patients with oral pain or substance use disorders in the dental setting. Topics will include:
We will select community-based dentists, other oral health professionals, OHSU School of Dentistry faculty, OHSU dental preceptors, OHSU School of Dentistry residents, and other relevant health care professionals to participate based on their interest in the program, geographic distribution, and ability to commit to attend the sessions. Community-based dentists and OHSU dental preceptors are encouraged to invite one other staff member such as a behavioral health specialist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, or practice manager to participate in the sessions with them.
*OHSU School of Dentistry is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professional in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. OHSU School of Dentistry designates this activity for 7 continuing education credits.
