Gender-Affirming Care Across the Lifespan

First and third Thursdays, noon-1 p.m.


The purpose of this 12-session ECHO program is to build the capacity of primary care teams to provide gender-affirming care. Topics will include: 

  • Gender-inclusive environments
  • Supporting the pediatric patient and pubertal suppression
  • Gender-affirming hormone therapy initiation and management
  • Overview of gender-affirming surgical procedures and referral pathways
  • Best practices in primary care and disease surveillance for the gender expansive patient

We will select up to 15 Oregon primary care teams to participate in this program. Other healthcare providers will be accepted as space permits. Participants will be chosen based on their interest in the program, geographic distribution, and ability to commit to attending the sessions.

Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

OHSU School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
