Veterans and Military Behavioral Health

Thursdays, 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.


This 12-session ECHO series will help primary care and behavioral health clinicians and their team members better serve veterans and military service members who access behavioral health services in community-based settings.  

Topics may include: 

  • Military and veteran care 101
  • Access to care
  • Trauma-informed care
  • PTS(D)
  • Military Sexual Trauma
  • Peer delivered services
  • Brain injuries
  • Care for key populations such as tribal and LGBTQ+ veterans
  • Military and veteran suicide
We will select up to 40 Oregon primary care clinicians (MD, DO, ND, PA, NP, PMHNP) or behavioral health providers (LCSW, LPC, QMHP, MA in Psychology, PhD in Psychology) to participate in this program. Other healthcare team members will be accepted as space permits. Participants will be chosen based on their interest in the program, geographic distribution, ability to commit to attending the sessions, and ability to champion change in their organizations.

*Accreditation: Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit: OHSU School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
